Lisa

Qualified beginner pole instructor. Yoga teacher training.

Lisa is a qualified beginner pole instructor and yoga instructor – from Germany, but found her home here in Ireland. She first
started pole dancing at Pole Garage Ireland in 2016 with her friends and was hooked after a few beginner’s pole classes. Lisa loves to stay active & has a background in different types of dance. She takes ballet classes & performs in musicals when she’s not at pole class. Lisa loves the elements of spin pole and has some stage experience too, having performed with Racheal at Electric Picnic many times over the years and at our pole dance show, Pole Garage – After Dark, here in Galway. Lisa is a mom of one and has a dog and a horse, too. When she’s not on the pole, she’s super busy, as you can imagine. Lisa’s motto is doing what you love through movement.

Najeeba

Qualified Beginner pole instructor

Najeeba is a certified beginner pole instructor. Originally from South Africa, she started pole dance in 2017 in her hometown and has grown to love all forms of the art. She admires the freedom of movement, strength and sense of community it brings and believes Pole as a sport is an excellent form of fitness. She has lived in Ireland for nearly 7 years now and joined the Pole Garage in 2022.

Off the pole, she works full time as a medical doctor at a small rural practice and spends her free time travelling and hiking.

How the studio got its name

Racheal worked in the motor industry and wanted to be a motorbike mechanic when she left school at 16, but no such course existed in Ireland. She found a training course to work in a garage. She learned how to weld, spray paint, do car mechanics, and repair cars after a crash. During the training course, she was given a project to rebuild a motorbike (Kawasaki ZX6) from a road bike to a racetrack bike. She learned how to repair and spray paint the petrol tank, bike panels, and more! After some work experience, she went on to become a panel beater in a local dealership with Toyota Ireland, working and passing exams while pregnant with her son, and she became fully qualified in the trade. Racheal has worked in many local garages and dealerships here in Galway city.
Today, her studio, Pole Garage Ireland, is a representation of her dedication and hard work.
